The change in height has some side effects. The most common symptoms are shortness of breath, headache, rapid agitation, upset stomach, lack of appetite, and energy.
To reduce its effects, it is recommended:
Have at least one day off in Cusco so that the body has the necessary time to adapt and thus enjoy your trip without discomfort.
In your Short Inca Trail, Consume coca leaf; these are sold in different presentations, such as coca tea or mate, coca candies, or if you prefer to chew it directly.
Avoid consuming hefty food, at least on the first day of your stay in Cusco.
